Olaplex is a revolutionary hair treatment that repairs and strengthens damaged hair from within by targeting broken bonds inside the hair structure itself. The classic in-salon Olaplex service is the most concentrated bond-building repair option available.  Nº.1 Bond Multiplier and Nº.2 Bond Perfector are used together without a colour service, delivering intensive structural repair for hair that has been compromised by bleaching, chemical treatments, or repeated heat styling.

This treatment targets bond repair rather than moisture, so your stylist may recommend pairing it with a moisture treatment for the very best results.

Best for: Hair that feels weak, brittle, or prone to breakage.  Particularly good for bleached or heavily processed hair.

Typical service time: 15 minutes as a stand-alone service.

Olaplex Added to Colour - Nº.1 Bond Multiplier

Nº.1 Bond Multiplier can be added directly to colour during any hair colour appointment at Johnson Blythe.  It provides protection against chemical damage throughout the colouring process. Suitable for all hair types and all colour services. 

Best for: Recommended even for less intensive colour treatments, to get the best from your hair.

Typical service time: applied during your colour service.

Olaplex Nº.2 Bond Perfector - Post-Colour Care

Used in combination with Nº.1, the Nº.2 Bond Perfector is applied after the colouring process to nurture and restore the hair. Applied as a créme for ten minutes before the backwash, it helps seal and perfect the bonds following your colour service.

Best for: Recommended after all colour treatments, to get the best from your hair.

Typical service time: Applied for 10 minutes before the backwash, to help seal and perfect the hair bonds.

Can I leave Nº.3 Hair Perfector on overnight for better results?

You may have seen this recommended on social media, but in fact, leaving Nº.3 on for longer than the recommended time does not improve results.  The product is designed to work most effectively during the recommended treatment time, and using it as an overnight leave-in treatment is not advised.

Ten minutes is sufficient. Simply follow the instructions on the label for the best results.

How do your Olaplex treatments work?

Do I need to have colour-treated hair to benefit from Olaplex?

Not at all. Whilst Olaplex is particularly well known for its use alongside colouring and bleaching services, it benefits all hair, colour-treated or not.

Disulphide bonds can be broken by everyday wear and tear, including heat styling, friction from sleeping, tight ponytails and environmental stressors. Anyone with hair that feels weak, dull or difficult to manage is likely to notice a difference with regular Olaplex use.

Is it OK to use Olaplex during pregnancy?
